Multimodal Creation and Collaborative Innovation (2008–Present)
The projects in this section are grouped in categories highlighting key interests – mobile and locative interaction, the computable self, human-computer interaction, ageing and health, and games and apps. The research experiments across the categories are united in methodological approach– we begin with a key conceptual idea, explore the research questions we are interested in, engage participants, and then choose the appropriate medium or mediums for investigation. Many projects across the categories share an interest in embodied experience, engaging art and play for innovation, transgressing the digital divide, making technologies accessible, querying how time and space are mediated by technologies, and engaging participants in practice-based explorations.
